Conditional Admission
Students need to reach a certain level of TLC program as well as attain above a score of 500 on TOEFL. Graduate students need to submit a GRE test score in addition. Other than this, TLC supports students' transfer to other universities via conditional admission under the assumption that students pay all applicable fess and submit required documents before the official process begins. Conditional admission applications cannot go over two per student.

TLC has accomplished such goal ever since its establishment and still works to make every student's academic journey a success. Students, in the past, have been waived TOEFL requirements after completing courses at TLC. As such, TLC is making continuous effort to give as much benefit to international students as possible.
Focus of Study : The Intensive Language Program aims to achieve maximum outcome in terms of students' English proficiency in order to prepare them for further academic endeavors at American colleges and universities. However, the course is also designed for students who find joy in learning new language.
Benefit, Goal of this course : Upon their arrival, students will be given a placement test by the school in order to make an accurate examination on each student's English proficiency and place them in an appropriate level of class. TLC also provides students with an optional sixth block lesson at no extra cost.
Curriculum : The Intensive English Program evolves around a 4-week session during which 25 hours of classroom lessons are given per week. At the end of each session, students receive a Final Grade Report from their instructors, making its possible for students to see their whereabouts and outcomes. Equal instruction is given at nine different levels, from beginner to advanced. Beginners (Level 1-3) learn to communicate in every day situations, understand simple dialogues, read starting level passages and express their thoughts in a basic manner of writing. Intermediates (Level 4-6) learn to express themselves through writing with less errors than beginners, incorporate grammatical structure and rules in writing, develop academic vocabulary and understand longer reading passages. Advanced students (Level 7-9) learn to freely discuss issues on specific topics, participate in debates, write professional paper that incorporates the discussions and analyze other reports written by authorities and professionals.

TLC Bowling Green provides students with an off-campus housing option. Located approximately one mile away from campus, the apartment provides a clean and safe environment with facilities like free internet access, recreation areas, and shuttle bus transport. Students will share an apartment complex with other international students. Meals are not included in this option. The other choice TLC offers is its unique homestay program. With experienced, welcoming host families, students will find the greatest opportunity to enhance their English skills and experience the local culture. Tow meals are provided during the weekdays and all meals are provided on holidays and weekends.
Surrounding Area
Bowling Green is a culturally-rich city and thus will provide students with many lively and unforgettable experiences. Every September, the Black Swamp Arts Festival takes place. The main street is closed to traffic, and in stead is filled with artists who have come from all over the world in order to display and sell their work. Musical performances, children's activities and stage shows are also available. Bowling Green is also famous for the National Tractor Pulling Championships, an annual event visited by 60,000 people. Bowling Green's Wood County Fair also feature events like Trackor Pull, Catch-a-pig, Cheerleading competition, music concert and harness racing. Students will get a real taste of Bowling Green, Ohio.
