Conditional Admission allows academically qualified students to be accepted to the university after they study at the American Language Program, Cal State Fullerton's Intensive English Program and meets the university's English language requirement (PBT 500, iBT 61, or 5.5 IELTS).

On campus housing option: There are two types of housing options available for students who wish to live on campus:There is the traditional dormitory for first-time freshmen and the apartment-style dormitory for students who are 19-24 years old (degree students, exchange, semester abroad and language students).
Apartment Style Dormitory for International Students -Each apartment includes 3 bedrooms, living room, kitchen, dining room area, and one or two bathrooms. Students can select a Private bedroom (total of 3 students in the apartment). Students can select a Shared bedroom (2 students in each bedroom, 6 students in the apartment). All rooms are furnished: bed, desk, chair, lamp, closet. All utilities and internet are included in rent. Four meal plan options available (see below). This is a great chance to meet other students, practice conversational English and learn about the American culture
Homestay The Cultural Homestay Program is organized and supervised by the International Student Services office. Living with a homestay family offers a great opportunity to practice conversational English and learn about the American culture. Homestay is open to Exchange students, Semester Abroad students and ALP students (levels 2-8). ALP students who are in level 1 must successfully finish level 1 before they are eligible to apply. Since Homestay placement is based on matching hosts and students personalities and lifestyles, therefore placements are not guaranteed. Homestay program offers four Meal Plans. Each bedroom includes: bed, desk, chair, lamp, closet. Utilities are included in rent (students can request internet service for $10 per month). Homestays are located 1.5-4.0 miles away from campus. Students can bike or take a bus to and from school (bus is free of charge with CSUF ID card)-Required contract: One semester-Move-in schedule: Students can move to their homestays a few days before semester begins-To apply, students must submit an application and application processing fee of $100

Activity
As a part of the American Language Program, students have the opportunity to learn American Culture through a variety of activities/. These include fun and relaxing outings such as a trip to a Southern California tourist attraction; parties to celebrate an American tradition or holiday; on-campus picnics; on-campus arts, music and theater events; movies; and sports events. Conversation partners, staff and faculty always attend the activities to give students an opportunity to practice their English outside of the classroom. Campus Activities and Events
Every semester the campus has many activities for students. The Associated Students Office is responsible for most of the campus activities – noontime concerts, international fairs, guest speakers, outdoor art fairs, evening movies, and many other events.
