1.인터뷰 전 준비/시간
-스카이프 로그인 상태로 준비.
-담당자가 친구 요청하면 ‘수락’ 후 전화가 옴.
-담당자는 off camera로 진행하며, 불편하면 카메라를 꺼도 된다고 말함
.(카메라 기능은 없어도 되며, 통화 품질은 놀라울 정도로 좋음)
-시간: 45 mins.
2.인터뷰 시작
1st part(일반적 질문)
-Q CELTA에 대해서 알고 있는 것이 무엇인지?
-Q 왜 CELTA 수업을 들으려고 하는지?
-Q CELTA 과정을 마친 후 계획은 무엇인지?
-담당자가 CELTA 과정에 대해서 비교적 상세하게 설명함.
-Q CELTA 과정에 대해서 듣고 나서 어떻게 느끼는지?
-Q intensive 하기 때문에 생기는 스트레스를 어떻게 해결할 것인지?
2nd part(pre-interview task 관련 2~3 문제 질문)
-ex) He is reading the paper./He reads the paper every morning.
ex) She drives very fast./She drives too fast.
-Q 두 문장을 상세하게 설명하고, 학생들에게 어떤 식으로 가르칠 것인가?
(이론적인 설명보다는 구체적인 수업 방법을 궁금해 함)
3.인터뷰 종료
-합격여부를 알려주며, 비자 받을 서류, 숙소 관련 설명함.
4.참고
-질문에 대답하는 것을 제외하고는, 담당자가 많은 설명을 해주며, 중간중간 질문이 있는지 물어봄.
-CELTA 과정은 무척 intensive 하기 때문에 주말에도 여유롭지 못할 것이라고 함.
(9.00~5.00까지 수업)
-강의식 수업이 아닌 학생 중심 수업으로, 학생들이 계획하고 토론하고, 주당 일정시간 두 레벨 정도의 학생들을 가르치고 피드백을 받음.
-대부분 원어민 학생들이라 하여, non-native 로서 언어에 대한 부담감이 있다고 말하자, 힘들긴 하겠지만 본인들이 무척 supportive하며, 완벽한 영어를 구사해야 함을 기대하지는 않지만, presentation이나 수업을 진행할 때는 완벽해야 하기 때문에 준비를 많이 해야 한다고 함.
-과정을 마친 후 A, B, pass 단계로 구분되며, fail 할 상황이면 학생에게 미리 알려주어 그런 일이 발생하지 않도록 노력한다고 함.
