Students from all over the world with different nationality and cultural background have chosen ELS program to study English in a new Environment. Majority of the students come from Asian countries including Japan (30%), Taiwan (25%) and Korea (20%). Some students from Central America (6%), Europe(9%) and Middle eastern countries (4%) have also chose ELS to enrich their English skills.

With over level 112 in ELS, students can be accepted to Bachelor and Master's programs. Both Undergraduate and Graduate schools issue a CLA to students.

College of Mount Saint Vincent is a Catholic liberal arts college located in the northwest corner of the Riverdale section of the Bronx, New York. It is the northernmost location in the New York City and was founded by the Sisters of Charity of New York in 1847. This private catholic college serves 1,800 students with professional undergraduate programs in nursing, business, communication, and education. The college also offers a strong liberal arts undergraduate curriculum with distinctive strengths in biology, biochemistry, English, psychology and sociology. The college offers graduate degree programs in nursing, business, TESOL and education.

Description: ELS NY-Riverdale has an extensive, popular, and safe Homestay Program. Students enjoy a wide variety of homestay options. Commute times may be 30-40 minutes by public transportation, and not all homestays are within walking distance.

Description: Shared dorm rooms are located in Mastronardi Hall, which is conveniently located just a few minutes walk from the ELS Center. ELS students are housed in the same dormitory as CMSV students, so there are ample opportunities to socialize with College students. This option includes meal credits which can be used at the two on-campus cafeterias.

Those students who stay in the dormitory need to submit an MMR immunization record. While it is preferable that students get their immunizations done in their home country, MMRs can be done at a clinic near campus.

ELS/Riverdale is conveniently located on the beautiful campus of the College of Mount Saint Vincent in the prestigious Riverdale section of New York City. Overlooking the Hudson River, CMSV is in a safe, residential community with fast, easy and inexpensive access to Manhattan by express bus, train or subway. New York City's many tourist and cultural attractions, restaurants, shopping and nightlife will never keep the students bored. Weekend trips are possible to other major northeastern cities including Washington D.C., Philadelphia, Boston, Niagara Falls and Canada.
