The school has changed its name to Case Western Reserve University in 1967 as a private research university in Cleveland. Case Western Reserve's with over 60 majors ranked 37th among national universities in US News& World Report's. The university is approximately five miles east of downtown Cleveland in University Circle. It is contained within a 550 acre area with numerous educational, medical and cultural institutions. ELS/Cleveland is located on the campus of Case Western Reserve University, a prestigious private university that is consistently ranked in the top 50 national universities by US News and World Report. The center is located in University Circle, the premier urban district of Cleveland, which was recently named one of the most beautiful places in the USA by Forbes magazine. Nowhere on earth can one find the same concentration of education, health care, arts, and cultural institutions located in one city neighborhood. The combination of ultra modern architecture alongside 19th century mansions, all located in a green, park-like setting, gives this area a very distinctive atmosphere. And the historic Little Italy, with many restaurants, shops and galleries, is just a short walk away. The warehous3e District of Cleveland includes restaurants, cafes, and nightclubs. There are museums including the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Cleveland Art Museum. Cedar Point, third largest amusement park in the US and number one roller coaster park in the word is located nearby.
