Campus Education - San FranciscoAbout the
Since it opened its doors in 1999, CAMPUS Education has addressed the needs of both the local and international community, educating over ten thousand students in English as a second Language, computer networking and programming, business, and healthcare. Computer Professional Learning Center (CPLC), a non-degree granting vocational institution licensed by the New Jersey Department of Education, was founded and began its first class in August 1999. At its inception, CPLC was established to address what was perceived to be a severe shortage of qualified computer programmers and other I.T. related professions. During our early years of operation, our mission remained highly specialized: to train students for gainful employment in the I.T. industry. As the number of students from other parts of the world increased, English language training programs were also introduced to ensure that students were functional in English. We have changed our name from CPLC Education Center to CAMPUS to reflect the enhancement and expansion of our programs across the United States and the world. CAMPUS offered its first classes in New York and New Jersey and now has branches in eight locations in the U.S. and India. We are committed to empowering students with the knowledge and skills required in today's fast-changing job market. By closely monitoring current trends in university programs and professional fields, we keep our course offerings innovative and our programs competitive.
CAMPUS General English courses are available to students at every level of English proficiency. Our classes cover all communication skills with an emphasis on grammar, pronunciation, and vocabulary. General English Course provides an all-around understanding of the language including grammar, pronunciation, vocabulary, reading, writing, listening comprehension and conversation. Course contents are presented in a carefully sequenced syllabus through extended narratives, video sequences and dialogs, reinforced by a wide variety of engaging exercises that provide the intensive practice essential for mastery. The speech lessons, designed to improve oral fluency, also reinforce grammar and vocabulary, helping students to talk about their lives and the world around them with increasing confidence. Classes cover the skills of speaking, writing, listening and reading and also the crucial elements of grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation. Various levels are offered from beginner, intermediate and advanced classes. Students wishing to pursue their studies in the US who successfully completed our highest level of English can be granted a conditional TOEFL waiver with our partner universities and colleges. Classroom sizes range from 12 to 15 students per class and maximum 15 students. Every effort is made to keep classes at an ideal size for effective English language instruction.

CAMPUS San Francisco is located near the famous Mission and Market streets. The school is proud of its excellent academic team and the community atmosphere it creates for its local and international students. Local transportation provides easy access to the school and all that San Francisco has to offer in terms of tourist attractions and entertainment. San Francisco (/ˌsæn frənˈsɪskoʊ/), officially the City and County of San Francisco, is the leading financial and cultural center of Northern California and the San Francisco Bay Area. The only consolidated city-county in California, it encompasses a land area of about 46.9 square miles (121 km2) on the northern end of the San Francisco Peninsula, giving it a density of about 17,179 people per square mile (6,632 people per km2). It is the most densely settled large city (population greater than 200,000) in the state of California and the second-most densely populated major city in the United States after New York City. San Francisco is the fourth most populous city in California and the 14th most populous city in the United States, with a population of 805,235 as of the 2010 Census. The city is also the financial and cultural hub of the larger San Jose-San Francisco-Oakland metropolitan area, with a population of 7.4 million. San Francisco (Spanish for "Saint Francis") was founded on June 29, 1776, when colonists from Spain established a fort at the Golden Gate and a mission named for St. Francis of Assisi a few miles away. The California Gold Rush of 1849 propelled the city into a period of rapid growth, increasing the population in one year from 1,000 to 25,000, and thus transforming it into the largest city on the West Coast at the time.
