The second foreign language begins at the beginning of the second half of the 5th grade. The students have the choice between Latin and French. The third foreign language begins in class 8. Greek, Chinese, Spanish, and possibly Latin or French are possible here. As an alternative to a third foreign language, the subject of natural science and technology (NwT) can be chosen in the 8th grade.

The St. Blasien college attaches great importance to integrating religious elements into everyday school life. Each morning class begins with a prayer. There are weekly narrative services in grades 5 and 6in the house chapel, which are designed by religion teachers of both denominations. Here the children are familiarized with biblical stories and church festivals are celebrated. There is also space for the experience of silence, common prayer and modern spiritual songs. In Advent and Lent, these services are also celebrated in grades 7 and 8. The entire college community meets in the cathedral for the start of the school year and for various occasions. A separate meditation room is regularly used for individual classes or boarding school groups. One and several days of reflection, which are intended to open up spaces for the students to consciously deal with their own life situation and which are used to practice various forms of meditation, prayer and exchange, take place for all students in grades 5 and 8 as well as course grade 11. In the last days before Christmas, high school graduates have the opportunity to do Ignatian retreats in silence. For students and employees, theCollege chaplain available.
