The gymnasium Weierhof is an extraordinary, modern day high school with a long tradition.
We encourage our students through small learning groups, and increase efficiency in the learning times and provision of education.
Other features include a large, green outdoor area, multiple supervised residences and facilities, and its own private cafeteria. The curriculum is complemented by a wide selection of languages: English, French, Latin and Spanish, and Japanese.
The school takes 8 years to graduate high school and is a fully accredited private school.School fees are not charged.
Tradition and Innovation
Gymnasium Weierhof has a long 40 year
history filled with tradition. Throughout that time period, this high school
has developed innovative teaching methods. The result of that is an all-day
school, which combines effort and relaxation. The school does not provide any homework.
Instead, repetition, practice, and deep understanding of the course material are
integrated into the classroom. If extra help is required by the students, then
special learning hours are dedicated to those small groups of students, and are
always supervised by a professional instructor.
Courses and Electives
Our students can choose from a large range
of over 40 courses from fields such as engineering, computer science, art,
music, languages, sports and games. These include courses such as Big Band,
Choir, Circus, and Chess. During free time, out students have access
to our beautiful and spacious campus, which includes meadows, groves, bushes,
and a creek. The campus also has a large football field, basketball court, and
beach volleyball court. Students also have access to our newly-built libraries,
gaming room, internet lounge, and computer room. All of these areas include
supervision.
Students do not spend all day studying in
the classroom. They also play, make crafts, sing, dance, and chat with students
from all over the school.

The students usually live in the Weierhof boarding school from Monday to Friday - it is like going to work like the parents. But of course the Weierhof is not just school and learning. The children and adolescents get what parents often cannot give due to lack of time: impulses and stimulation through a wide range of leisure activities. Sports, art, languages, natural sciences, handicrafts - the Weierhof palette ranges from soccer to literary writing.

Current leisure activities in the Weierhof boarding school During the week, the following leisure activities take place in the boarding school, in our own sports halls or in external rooms:
Ballsport AG The youngsters can regularly practice ball sports, such as soccer or basketball, in the large sports hall.
At Ballsport AG, fun is first and foremost. Each training session is tailored to the needs of the different training groups. The pupils' enthusiasm for play and movement is encouraged through attractive and age-appropriate tasks. With the help of versatile forms of exercise, skills are improved and a varied movement training is achieved.
In addition to the sporting aspect, it is very important to us to impart important social skills such as teamwork, tolerance, ambition and a sense of responsibility.
Lauf-AG Lauf AG takes place at regular intervals. When the weather is good, the need to move outdoors leads to nature. There are plenty of green spaces and running paths both on our premises and in the area. When the weather is bad, our sports hall is not used.
Badminton AG Badminton lovers will also get their money's worth. Extensive training with a high fun factor for a sporty balance. All available networks are set up in the hall so that several games can take place at the same time.
Theater AG Theater AG offers interested students the opportunity to slip into the world of actors. Applied theater pedagogy includes a wide range of offers. The learning and application of different breathing techniques, various acting techniques, directing up to the design of the stage design are important components of the AG. The use of creativity in the choice of costumes is evoked.

Our football club is visited with great enthusiasm by our students and would like to give young people new impulses for sporting and soccer activities by participating in the campaign.
horse riding For horse lovers who are looking for and love contact with horses, we can organize riding lessons at nearby farms.
Swimming: Kirchheimbolanden eV swimming club The youngsters can take part in the swimming lessons of the club every week. Swimming badges can also be purchased.
Music: district music school In cooperation with the music school, different types of musical instruments can be learned and played under instruction. The offer ranges from wind instruments such as flute or trombone to piano or percussion.

The Weierhof has a large, spacious, park-like grounds.The school and are in the open and provide sufficient residence (library, games room, etc.) and games in the lunch breaks, in addition to the AG deal.In the food premises of the boarding freshly cooked lunch by a professional kitchen is available for all pupils, there are two children (a vegetarian menu) and a salad buffet to choose from.The minors are supervised by supervisors in the area and the dining rooms.
