Curriculum A GEOS English class is known for its challenging curriculum that highlights oral communication - speaking and listening. Extensively trained instructors incorporate varieyt of lessons to help students gain conversational skills as much as possible. At the beginning of each course, students will be given a placement test that closely examines their English proficiency and thus places them in the appropriate level of class ranging from beginner to advanced, in six different difficulties. Also at the end of each term which lasts for twelve weeks, students will take a written exam and have teachers consult the result with them in order to receive personal feedbacks and advices. The exam will become the main tool to observe each student's progress. Progress reports will be handed out in a monthly term and a certificate will be issued at the end of the course by GEOS.

Accommodation
Family/half or full board Students can experience North American culture and practice their English by sharing a home with a host family. Students will have a private room with a bed, desk, and closet. They will also have most or all of their meals provided by the family. All families have been visited by members of our school's staff and live in safe, comfortable neighbourhoods close to the school. - Facilities: A private room with a bed, desk, and closet. They will have fully access to the kitchen and the bathroom. Families will also provide them towels and bedlinien. Some families provide internet. - Services: The host family do the basic cleaning but students are encouraged to clean up their rooms. Residence Founded in 1899, Royal Victoria College was originally the women's college of McGill, where women both lived and studied. It is available only in the late spring and summer, but is located a few minute walk from the school along Sherbrooke Street. Our school is located in the heart of downtown, close to public transportation, to many stores, shopping centers, restaurants, fast food restaurants and nightclubs. The school is situated in a 16 floor building, fully-accessible. It is on the 8th and 10th floor and will also be on the 6th in the summer, with a capacity of 252 students. Montreal, Canada’s second-largest city, is found on an island in the St. Lawrence River, in the province of Quebec, in the eastern part of Canada. As the school is located right downtown, students are close to many different fast food stores and restaurants and can use the kitchen. Activity
As the warm sun of summer shines above Montreal, the city lights-up with its dozens of summer festivals and special events! The Montreal Jazz Festival, the Just for Laughs Festival, the International Fireworks Competition, and the Grand Prix Formula One race, are just some examples of the types of events Montreal has to offer in the summer. Going to the Ste Helene Beach or the La Ronde Amusement Park are also some favourite activities of GEOS Montreal students.
