Accommodation
The University offers students accommodation with Spanish families. If students opt for living with a Spanish family, students may chose half or full board. Full board includes three meals a day: breakfast, lunch and supper. Half board includes two meals: breakfast and either lunch or supper. Spanish breakfast is light fare; the main meal in Spain is lunch. The University only guarantees accommodation during the study programme period. To request accommodation, students must cover one month’s fees. Once this fee is received, the University will send students specific information regarding the family. It is compulsory for the student requesting accommodation to inform about any special dietary requirements, illnesses, allergies, etc. regarding meals, upon applying.
Surrounding Area
The city of Madrid, located in the heart of the Spanish Peninsula and right in the center of the Castilian plain 646 meters above sea level, has a population of over three million. A cosmopolitan city, a business center, headquarters for the Public Administration, Government, Spanish Parliament and the home of the Spanish Royal Family, Madrid also plays a major role in both the banking and industrial sectors. Most of its industry is located in the Southern fringe of the city, where important textile, food and metal working factories are clustered. Madrid is characterized by intense cultural and artistic activity and a very active and legendary nightlife.Cosmopolitan Madrid combines the very best features of any European city with a fully interactive atmosphere: huge green areas and a continuous flow of architectural structures, business people and students. The nightlife is particularly lively with much taking place in its thousands of traditional bars. Madrid is well worth visiting.
Facilities
The Library is an indispensable support for the students at the Center for Hispanic Studies. This service provides students with access to loan and reference material from the library collection and other resources, providing in-depth information on location, characteristics and access. The Center for Hispanic Studies offers its students completely guaranteed internet access to the Internet via Wi-Fi connection. This service is compatible with lap-tops, notebooks and mobile phones. Students may also access the Internet and word and data processors in the computer room. At the University cafeteria students may enjoy breakfast items, lunch menus, combination platters, sandwiches and Spanish bocadillos—all at special prices.
Activity
The courses combine language and culture studies; the school believes that the only way to learn a language is by understanding the way people think and live. Each programme includes up to six cultural activities and offers other extra-curricular activities as well.

I was matched home stay from University. However, that house doesn't have internet access, room was extremely tiny, too much expensive(785€/month) and too far from to university. So, I rented a studio and shared flat.

수업은 오리엔테이션(영어, 스페인어 각각 진행) 진행후 필기형식과 인터뷰형식으로 시험을 치룹니다. 그리고 난후 이틀뒤나 또는 사흘뒤 반이 발표가 납니다. 반은 낮은순으로 A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2 로 구성되고 A1 이 가장 낮은 반입니다. 수업은 전체 스페인어(영어 전혀 쓰지 않습니다.)로 진행되구요, 각 반은 대략8~10명으로 이루어져있습니다. 한국학생들은 많은 수가 없으며 주로 A2, B2반에 포진해 있고 B1반이 동양인(중국인, 일본인)이 거의 없고 주로 독일 영국 미국 학생들로 구성되어 있습니다. 제가 B1반에서 수강했고 반에서 유일한 동양인이었죠, 수업 선택은 자유이구요 오전에 8:30분 의무 문법 수업을 제외하고는 본인의 의사에따라 더 높은 레벨의 수업 참여가가능합니다. 성적은 절대평가로 10점 만점이구 각 수업별로 두번까지 결석이 가능하며 세번부터는 전체 점수의 30%감점이 시작됩니다. 필기시험은 문법수업에서 있구 대부분의 수업은 발표(프레젠테이션)시험입니다. 물론 전부 스페인어로 진행됩니다. 선생님 추천은 José Maria (호세마리아), Daniel(다니엘) 추천입니다. 점수도 잘주지만 잘 가르쳐 줍니다. 수업 방식은 우리나라처럼 잘하는 사람에 진도를 맞추지 않고 제일 못하는 사람을 기준으로 수업 진도를 맞추어 진행합니다. 예를 들어 제가 하고싶은 말을 하려하지만 잘 못하면 책망하지 않고 끝까지 기다려줍니다. 본인이 중간에 포기만 안하면 원하는 의사 전달을 다할수 있구요, 수업의 일환으로 야간에 단체로 스페인 바에가서 타파스랑 맥주를 마시는 프로그램도 수업중에 있었습니다.
