Curriculum:  
The Communication General English Course are scheduled with 25 lessons per week in total 9:00 -15:00. 
This course  is offered year-round with sessions beginning every Monday . The program is the most comprehensive and popular course at school and enables each student’s all round skills to develop in the morning, with a particular focus on areas to improve or special interests in the afternoon.  
This program assists students at any ability level in developing English language skills, general communication skills, and building confidence when speaking. Instruction focuses on grammar, reading, writing, speaking and listening. Each week, academic objectives are planned in advance and discussed with the students. Students have opportunities to participate in arranged activities, practice their English with real issue with colleague. Classroom sizes range from 10 to 12 students per class and maximum 15 students. Every effort is made to keep classes at an ideal size for effective English language instruction.

Curriculum:
 Students can join an IELTS course at Auckland English Academy on any Monday throughout the year. ICL runs IELTS preparation classes – normally two groups – mornings, afternoons, evenings and on Saturdays. The morning class is from 9-12 and covers reading and writing. The afternoon class is from 1-3 and covers the skills of listening and speaking. The Saturday class runs from 9-3, with an hour of lunch break at 12. It follows the same format as the weekday morning and afternoon classes. Students can choose from various full-time and part-time options within these times. A wide variety of IELTS preparation textbooks and materials are used in the course. All IELTS Preparation students do a full mock exam every 6 weeks. All full time IELTS students have the opportunity for FREE IELTS workshops after class. This course is available at various levels from pre-IELTS to IELTS 7+ and every student has own ILP (Individual Learning Plan) to help manage their study process

Focus of Study: 
ICL TESOL course is for practising teachers of English who wish to refresh their English, look at current trends, reflect on their personal philosophy of education and be introduced to the Cambridge University Teaching Knowledge Test.

Goal of this course: 
1. Allow teacher-participants to gain or reinforce knowledge of concepts related to the practice of English language teaching and learning;
2. Provide an introduction to the TKT award offered by Cambridge University in such a way that teacher-participants may choose to enter Module 2 of the qualification;
3. Encourage teacher-participants in their professional development by providing opportunities to identify their own personal philosophy of education and identify current English language teaching  issues, trends and research;
4. Facilitate teacher-participants exchanging ideas about English language teaching;
5. Create opportunities and requirements for teacher-participants to reflect in writing on their professional lives, past and future, and to keep records of their learning during the five-week course;
6. Those who do the weekend work will be able to reflect and consider the implications of foregrounding client needs.

Curriculum: 
ICL TESOL course is a five-week course. The level of English is quivalent t oIELTS 5.0.
